<p class=""><em>If you’re looking for a simple way to elevate your space and honor your creativity, try framing your artwork. Today I’m sharing how I use frames to bring watercolor pieces into our home and style them with farmhouse-inspired decor.</em></p>

<p class=""><strong>From Sketchbook to Wall: Why Framing Matters</strong></p>

<p class="">There’s something magical about putting your artwork in a frame. The moment I slide one of my watercolor paintings behind glass and click the backing into place, it’s like the piece exhales, finally ready to be seen.</p>

<p class="">For years, I kept my finished pieces tucked away in portfolios or stacked on shelves. I told myself they weren’t quite good enough or that I didn’t have the right place to display them. But one day, I picked up a simple white frame at a local shop, placed one of my florals inside, and put it on a small table in our entryway.</p>

<p class="">Something shifted.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><a href="amzn.to/4mpIiV9" data-wpel-link="internal"><img decoding="async" width="1024" height="1536" src="https://i0.wp.com/whisperingwillowlife.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Light-Oak-Frame.png?fit=683%2C1024&amp;ssl=1" alt="Simple natural oak frame" class="wp-image-710" loading="lazy" srcset="https://i0.wp.com/whisperingwillowlife.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Light-Oak-Frame.png?w=1024&amp;ssl=1 1024w, https://i0.wp.com/whisperingwillowlife.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Light-Oak-Frame.png?resize=200%2C300&amp;ssl=1 200w, https://i0.wp.com/whisperingwillowlife.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Light-Oak-Frame.png?resize=683%2C1024&amp;ssl=1 683w, https://i0.wp.com/whisperingwillowlife.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Light-Oak-Frame.png?resize=768%2C1152&amp;ssl=1 768w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></a></figure>

<p class="">Suddenly, it didn’t feel like a practice painting. It felt like part of our home. And more than that, it felt finished.</p>

<p class="">To be honest, I didn’t even love that painting at first. I was tempted to leave it in the pile, but something made me want to see what it might look like in a frame. And that simple act completely changed how I saw it. It went from something I was unsure about to something I was proud to display.</p>

<p class=""><strong>Simple Frames, Big Impact</strong></p>

<p class="">Now I frame nearly everything I create. Not because it all needs to be perfect, but because framing honors the time, energy, and heart behind each brushstroke. It elevates the work and helps me actually enjoy it.</p>

<p class="">Framed art doesn’t have to be expensive. Some of my favorite frames have been under $20. I keep a small collection of 8×10 and 11×14 frames in natural wood, white, and black so I can rotate pieces in and out with the seasons. It’s a gentle way to bring fresh life into a space without doing a full makeover.</p>

<p class="">If you’re looking for something simple and elegant, this <a href="https://amzn.to/4mpIiV9" data-wpel-link="external" target="_blank" rel="nofollow external noopener noreferrer sponsored">natural solid oak frame</a> is one of my top choices. It has real wood grain and high-definition tempered glass. I also love this <a href="https://amzn.to/4kyDL10" data-wpel-link="external" target="_blank" rel="nofollow external noopener noreferrer sponsored">set of three MDF wood frames</a> with real glass—they’re classic and versatile.</p>

<p class="">If you want a little color variation, I found this <a href="https://amzn.to/4dwJ0Me" data-wpel-link="external" target="_blank" rel="nofollow external noopener noreferrer sponsored">set of four vintage-inspired frames</a>, each in a different soft colorway that blends beautifully with rustic decor. And for a deeper, gallery-style frame, this <a href="https://amzn.to/44ORxb0" data-wpel-link="external" target="_blank" rel="nofollow external noopener noreferrer sponsored">sleek black 10×10 option</a> makes a great statement piece.</p>

<p class=""><strong>Styling with Heart: Art + Decor Together</strong></p>

<p class="">Lately, I’ve been combining my framed art with my favorite finds from our home decor shop, Piper Classics. I style a few watercolor pieces on the mantle alongside a statement wreath, some candlesticks, and a vintage-inspired clock, and it turns into a space that feels both curated and lived in.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><a href="https://amzn.to/45qZ0NA" data-wpel-link="external" target="_blank" rel="nofollow external noopener noreferrer sponsored"><img decoding="async" width="1024" height="1536" src="https://i0.wp.com/whisperingwillowlife.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Gold-Frames.png?fit=683%2C1024&amp;ssl=1" alt="Set of 4 Gold Frame for art" class="wp-image-711" loading="lazy" srcset="https://i0.wp.com/whisperingwillowlife.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Gold-Frames.png?w=1024&amp;ssl=1 1024w, https://i0.wp.com/whisperingwillowlife.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Gold-Frames.png?resize=200%2C300&amp;ssl=1 200w, https://i0.wp.com/whisperingwillowlife.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Gold-Frames.png?resize=683%2C1024&amp;ssl=1 683w, https://i0.wp.com/whisperingwillowlife.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/Gold-Frames.png?resize=768%2C1152&amp;ssl=1 768w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></a></figure>

<p class="">So if you’ve been holding onto your own art, or even your kids’ art, thinking it’s not worthy of a frame, I hope you’ll reconsider. You might be surprised how different it looks once it has a little place to belong.</p>
